1985 GMC - value

Hi everyone,

I just joined and was hoping to get some advice on the best way to value my pickup. I have a 1985 GMC 3500. It's unique in that it was owned by a small local fire department it's entire life until I bought it from them last year. I'm having issues understanding the value because I cannot find many others for sale, and it's a pretty unique vehicle. It was originally a rescue vehicle with an ambulance type box on the back. About 5 years ago, they removed the ambulance back and put a flat bed on the back. The rear leaf springs were reinforced and they used it to fight grass fires. It's in really good shape. Stored inside its entire life and has no rust on the body. The engine was rebuilt and has 16,000 miles on it. I had the transmission rebuilt about 6 months ago. We also put a recessed gooseneck hitch on. I'm looking to sell it because I don't want to put it through the amount of work I need to do, and I can't afford to keep it and buy a different pickup. If anyone has any advice, I'd very much appreciate it.

Thanks!

I see you posted this question years ago and not one reply. What's the purpose of this forum if nobody helps??? Sad.
I posted a similar question earlier today and no replies... 20 views, no reply.
Did you ever find out how to value the truck?
