Default 1997 Dakota 4x4 + EV parts

I have a 1997 Dodge Dakota 4x4 V8 SLT plus a variety of electric vehicle parts for parting out or for an EV project.

The truck was originally converted to plug-in electric in 2009 as a prototype project of my start-up company, ElectraDrive. The project was mostly self-funded and the truck remains titled to me. Now the company is developing plug-in solutions for truck fleets, I am seeking to recoup some of my original costs from this early work by parting out this Dakota and its EV parts.

The truck retains its 5-speed transmission and transfer case in place. The engine was removed and stored on an engine stand. It is clean and tight and has about 130,000 miles on it.

The truck was equipped with the following electric drive componentry:

WarP 11" traction motor from NetGain
Curtis motor controller
12V 2hp auxiliary motor
11 Fall River 8V SLA batteries mounted in truck bed
2 x 110V -> 150V custom battery chargers from ElectroCraft
Electric vaccum power brake system
Curtis potbox PB-6
Airpax circuit breaker
Albright contactor SW200
500A shunt
Ride Rite rear suspension bags to accommodate extra weight of the batteries.

The truck has a locking rollcover for the bed from Pace Edwards, purchased in January 2005.

We also have a Kawasaki 500 cc motorcycle engine which was fitted into the truck to experiment with onboard range-extension, and was later removed.

I am the third owner of the truck and have all receipts from other work done under my ownership before the electric conversion. Cosmetically, the truck is very clean (bodywork, paint, trim etc.).

The truck and all its parts are stored indoors at a shop in San Jose, CA where the conversion was done. The truck presently has a non-op status with the CA DMV in anticipation of either parting out or returning to the road.

Feel free to email me if interested in the vehicle, its engine or any of the EV parts. I am happy to answer questions and can provide a price list upon request. All prices are negotiable.
