Rear tires are wearing bad, Need Help

I have a 2000 dakota, and im having a problem with something in the rearend. The rear tire on the drivers side is wearing on the outside, and the tire on the passenger side it wearing on the inside. I have been trying to figure out whats wrong for quite a while now, but cant find anything definitive. It is 4x4, 4.7L auto. Any help is greatly appreciated.

i'd start by checking alignment, measure from the front leaf spring bolt to the axle on the driver side and passenger side, obviously they should be the same. I cant really think of anything else that would cause that, i'd swap the tires from side to side so they don't wear down too far in the mean time.

So your saying the Rear Front Control Arm? Is that the piece that looks like a bone? Not the one that the spring sets on?I think they're putting super cheap tires on from the factory. I have a feeling that even though they say Michelin, ford is actually saving a few bucks by using factory specific tires. I have the same problem on my 2011 f150, but they're goodyears. 12k on the truck and the tires are down to the wear bars. I'm going treadwright with my next set.

Has the truck been owned by you since it was new? It is very uncommon for trucks with solid rear axles (I believe the Dakota of that year range has a solid axle still) to wear back tires, unless either the frame, the axle, or the springs are bent.
