The 4 cylinder in my 95 dakota finally gave out a while back. I pulled it and bought a 4.3 vortec for $200. Got the whole motor with complete harness and conputer. Bought it fronm a friend and drove the truck it came out of before we pulled it. Then I bought an old muncie 4 speed for another 200 and put the two together. Got it in the truck last week and made motor mounts, got it all wired up, and it turns over when I hit the key. Now I gotta get fuel lines hooked up and get a driveshaft made and make some exhaust. I'm so excited to finish this project! Its gonna be fun to drive! The reason for buying the vortec instead of a dodge v6 was that the price was right and I knew I could get anything I needed off the donor truck since I bought it from a good friend. Hope to get it cranked up this weekend!
