what do you think 1991 dakota
 

a freind of mine has offered to sell me a 1991 dakota with a 2.5L motor in it. Right now it has a blown head gasket, the truck has been sitting for the last 3-4 yrs, all he wants for it is what he has payed out for parts around $150-200. I would like to know what you guys think of this truck, common problems that happen with it. thanks brian

If you didn't buy it, you're a fool.
There are a couple of minor issues with those, but you could pick up a 3.9 or 5.2 cheap, and it's a fairly easy swap....

I would definetly buy it, if it isn't that rusty then its good. You can buy 3.9L and do the swap. Though if you go for the 5.2 I would advice not though go for the 5.9 instead. What you are doing is a v6 to v8 swap though I know the bolt patterns are the same for the 3.9 to 5.2 swap i don't actually know if the 2.5 is aswell. But once done you will have the quickess little truck in your neighbour hood lol
