i got an uncle that has one but he dont drive it

im wondering the same thing. i just bought a 2003 dakota quad cab, 2WD,with the 4.7L V8. what are some common probl;ems with these?

Around that year dakotas are know for their ball joint problems and transmission problems. I have a 01 2wd and recently had new lower ball joints installed and a rebuilt tranny 7 months ago. Other than that I haven't had much problems the 3 years I've owned it except for common wear and tear.

I heard about the starting problem of Dakota. It will just produce quick noise but doesn’t start actually.

Problems In Dakota? Haven't heard of any. But, if u guys have experienced one, then pls enlighten us all.. Also try and post some pictures so that its even clearer. I was thinking on the lines of getting one for me. Any similar problems in RAM that you guys have heard of??
