Im looking into a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500. v8 . 5.9 . 355
Its got a single cab and it has 11600 miles on it. They are asking 5 grand for it. It looks real clean and not beat. Is 116 k miles alot for this truck and is it a good deal.

 

also this truck must get very bad gas milage. What do you guys think it would get?

 

I have a '98, which the '98 got a few trans tweeks that help. I have 128K on mine and it runs like a top except the air cond. The truck has been mine since new and I have been very pleased with it. I think 116k is not at all excessive. The price sounds in line with a truck like that in "good" condition. I personallly have no doubt that who ever buys my truck (I've had it 9 years and need a change), will easily get to the 250K miles mark.
