2500 Ride quality

I have a 04 2500 diesel, love the truck but totally hate the ride. On potato chipped roads it jiggles so badly I feel nauseous.
I understand it’s a tuck and all, but I’d like to be able to drive around without wanting to vomit. When it’s loaded or has a full tank of gas it rides far better than when empty.

I’m looking to upgrade the suspension in hopes of getting better ride quality while maintaining the trucks ability to handle heavy loads and towing chores.

I’d appreciate any recommendations, suggestions and personal experiences with this

Thanks

I have the same problem with my 2003 ram 1500 Hemi lwb with 25000 miles riding like a TANK!!! It jerks my stomach on even new roads. Torque converter is bad from day one and will not warranty any of the issues! Good luck</P>

Jpedder, what tire pressure are you running? I get the best ride with 50 lbs in my stock Michelin tires.

I have the same problem with my 04 2500. I have been researching new shocks and I am between Edelbrock Performer IAS shocks and the new Ranchero adjustable ones. Ive been told the Bill Stein shocks are horrible by my buddy that put them on his truck, they were worse than the stock as far as softening the ride. If you or anyone else has tried these shocks let me know too. thanks

jpedder, 04 Hemi, I too had a similar problem with my truck. I installed Bilstein shocks, talk about a difference. I've run Rancho's and other shocks before, I like these the best. Just my 0.02;)

A 2500 is a solid front axle truck. A 1500 is an independant front suspension front end. You might want a 1500 if you are empty most of the time. And the different tires help some.
