Default Fuel filter location

1997 1500 slt 5.7L engine. Where is the fuel filter ? In the tank along with the pump ? Seems that at highway speeds when you jump on it to pass it acts like it is starved for fuel... screams but really does not get up and go. 103,000 miles... tranny fine. Will eventually get up to speed and cruise at 80 but can not jump it to get there.... help please

Default RE: Fuel filter location

Hay They put the filter in the tank, it's just a screen on the pump. i hate it they have done that for years and still do. for your power problem, have you doen a full tune up on it latley (spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor, air filter) that might help out too
