HI ALL. NEW DODGE OWNER HERE RAM 2500 5.9 CUMMINS DIESEL SHORT BED CREW CAB. JUST BOUGHT LAST WEEK. OWNERS MANUAL TELLS ME NOTHING ABOUT DIESEL ENGINE( DEALER LOOKING INTO THAT FOR ME). JUST WONDERING HOW MANY MILES I NEED TO BREAK IT IN FOR BEFORE TOWING MY TRAVEL TRAILER. 500 MILES OR SO? THANKS FOR ANY INPUT

 

500 miles to break in, another 500 towing at speeds <= 55 mph. I have the same problem. The first is easy, the second - impossible. Freeway speed limits here are 75 mph, and going 55 will get you killed...
