Default GMC Bull Bar

So it seems that I'm going to be driving through Minnesota and Wisconsin a lot... at night... and if I hit a deer, I would really like to keep driving...

Anyways, I've been looking at bull bars, and right now my favorite one is the Lund with the LED bar inside of it.... but the price is ridiculous.

I want something that will not cover my GMC logo, and will be stainless. What would you guys suggest?

I'm thinking this has everything you will need. LED light bar and rugged deer protection

I have seen a number of collisions at my dealerships body shop.
the bumper and bar style probably is the best way to go. Bolt on bars without out the bumper will get pushed back into the rad and cause more damage on impact. I welded mine to the mounting brackets to prevent this.

If it doesn't come up higher, it won't protect the rad. most deer hits are at rad height.

That looks great!

GMC and Chevy have, until 2014, been really good at making sissy looking trucks. Not that they don't look good, but they look like big cars, not mean trucks like the Rams or Super Duties

A bull bar like that will hopefully "mean it up" a bit

I'm liking the look of those Bull Bars.. but I think the look better on the GM trucks.
And YES these Chev and GMs need something to Tuff'n them up a bit. I still haven't found that something to Tuff'n up the front of my Silverado yet.

I HAVE actually considered grill inserts, and I'm watching a set on My Ebay page. But my grill is a little ruff, and should be replaced before I go with a custom insert

This guy pulled up to my gym yesterday while I was there and I had to admire his truck. It's tricked out with little chrome pieces and about a 6" lift... but he said all of the chrome is rusting EXCEPT the bull bar
