Trying to... I'm an automotive idiot trying to get this old truck up and running. That model year has a single-chamber wheel cylinder that areunobtainable. I'm trying to figure out what to do now.

I'm no old ford guru...but most people convert the fronts to Disc brakes with a kit...I'll try to think of someone who knows just what needs done.

have you tried to just get a newer version wheel cylinder? also have you looked into cylinder rebuild kits? my buddy had a 64 ford and he just rebuilt them and they worked great then.

The newer wheel cylinders have two chambers while the existing ones have only one. I may need to replace the whole system....

ok well why is the current system obsolete. should be really easy to repair the system. if you update it your gonna have to worry about power brakes, proportioning valves and other hardware. the system on there is very simplistic and easy to repair i would suggest keeping it. i had a 74 where they tried to do this and messed it up. the brakes never worked right on that thing.

I'm gonna see if the existing wheel cylinders can be bored out - found a local guy who does this sort of work. My old truck has great sentimental value - I learned to drive in it - pardon, my age is showing.
