1995 Ford F-150 Short cab/box Inquiry
 

I'm looking at purchasing my first vehicle and I was wondering if anyone could give me any info related to this truck I'm looking at. It's a 1995 Ford F-150 short box/cab

I looked at it and tested it. The owner said it just needs a new windshield for safety and that's it. He also said the one of the tanks leaks. When I drove it, the steering wheel felt like it had a fair amount of slack in it. I drove another Ford F-150 earlier on and the same thing. Is this common amongst Ford trucks from this era? It also needs some body work and possibly brakes sometime soon.

Is there anything I should ask him or look for if I go to it again? I'm bringing along my friend's friend the mechanic.
