87F150 Starter Problem
 
Starter solenoid is sticking and runs continuous until tapping on the solenoid, then stops. New starter, new OEM solenoid, new ground cables, ETC. Problems still exists. Any suggestions on what to check out next?? Thanks

OK on the starter problem your starter switch is on the steering colum below the key which is called the tumbler what is happening is two things the tumbler can get dirty from general key shavings dust etc try and blowing it out with air first . If that doesn't work the swith can wear it has two nuts on it to loosen so the switch can be moved up or down to accomadate wear try moving it toward the pedal's which will take away some of the travel last resort is the switch is bad . take the two bolts that hold the colum in place loose and the steering colum will lay on the seat and you will see everything
