Any ideas on some cheap mods?
I just bought an 88' F150 XLT and im wanting to make some mods to it to improve the performance and possible the looks. I cant spend a whole lot of money, so i just wanted to figure out what are some things i could do here and there to make it go a little bit faster and look a little better.

it may be a bit expensive but id go with getting a true dual exhaust instaled with headers. i bought headman headers for 250, installed them myself, then i got 2 cherrybomb glasspacks and took my truck to an exhaust shop and they made me an exhaust with 2" pipe 2 cats and they put in the glasspacks for me all for 400 bucks. so for 650 bucks my truck sounds awesome, saves me gas, boosts my HP and looks pretty good.
id also go with the simple tune up. distributer cap and roter, oil change and new plugs. that will save you gas, and if you havnt done this in a while, it will boost your hp a bit. |

If you're willin to work do a port and polish job. Match all the ports on the head to the gaskets and polish em out. Then either put some headers on or open up your stock manifolds. Then put some glasspacks on and get rid of the cats. The mufflers and pipe shouldn't cost much more than 100. So after a tune up you're lookin at 250 and some hard work. That'll get you some more power
