Default con"fusing" problem

My F-150, when i started it up today, the seat belt light stayed on, even with the belts fastened. The speedometer did not work also/ I'm thinking its a blown fuse but the manual does not give any idea which fuse it might be.
Anybody have any ideas?

well first off we need to know what year it is. most of the dashes are printed circuit boards now and have been since the late 70s....it is quite possible that the board is bad
