How many inches of lift to fit 37' tires

Well I have this '83 F150 that I'm going to turn into a wheeling truck now as the title states I would like to know how much liftI need to clear a set of 37 or 38 inch tires in the front

any info will be greatly appreciated and for those that may inquire about rear clearance that is a none issue it has a flat bed

Getting a quality 6-inch lift, the 37-inch tires will fit in.

I've seen a Black 2004 F-150 model last weekend with an 8" lift and 38"tires on it... It really looks sweet... Love it!

6" should be plenty for a pavement pounder....

However you said you want to go wheeling, so I assume you want room for flex.....

I'd go with 8"

Cheap way would be 6" suspension and 3" body....

I'm not a big fan of body lifts, but they have their purpose...

You also may want to upgrade to 3/4 ton axles, or atleast put 4.10s in your stock..... 38" inches is a lot of rubber to turn....
