Making a Truck Faster

Hey guys, I have a 1995 F-150, FlareSide, Single Cab, and I want to make it faster.
Its the 5.0, V8
I put a chip in it, and a K&N, what else can I do?
Would it be possible to put bigger cranks in it? And would that make it fast?
Please help me guys.

Hello I think you have a 5.0 302 Cubic inches which is a really good engine. There is only one Crankshaft and one Camshaft in that engine. There are load's of fun and easy way's to get a thrill out of that engine need more Imformation on truck such as what do you want to do with the truck. Meaning is it a daily driver look at the rearend back cover there will be a tag or two there one tells you to run a certian gear oil the other will have the type rearend in letters and number's the secound line will have size 8.8 then 3.L55 which is a common Gear and mean's 8.8 Size 3.55 Ratio L limited slip let me know and fill me in on all the goodies those were fun good running engin's TKS I raced those Engines so I have a bunch of suprises.

well a few helpfull hints ill give. My favorit thing for performance is alittle thing called air and fuel intake adjustments #1 its allways good to run a 4b carb and aluminum intake on a 302, #2 make sure its a holly 600 and up # 3 take your intake off and you will need an air dremel cuz your heads and intake passages need to be board out to an exact messurment, when boaring them out you will need to take about 1 and a 1/2 cm out of the head and the intake air passages, dont want to go too far and strike the water passages. you will also need to do that to your gaskets also. #4 after establishing a wider boar in the intake and heads take off the valve covers and put in a new set of fresh high performance rocker arms and springs, its quick easy and not expensive. #5 put some upgraded jets in the carb cuz with more air your gonna need more fuel. #6 The most important part of the air and fuel combo is a high perfomance stributor shaft and cap, id go with msd for a high powerfull consistant spark. #7 this is my absolut favorit part, take out your 5$ knife and cut the airconditioning belt lol all 7 steps are a cheap and easy way of getting more power out of your 302 without spending alot of money for a crate engine. getting new pully's wouldnt hurt, the main thing is dont mess with the cam and lifters unless your gonna go all out cuz engines dont like to have a few new parts added in with all the others. wont last long.

Hello Note 4.0 is a v-6 I assume you mean a 4.6

RE: Making a Truck Faster

If you have a 4.6 there are many item's to bolt on that will go fast and build the gas milliage the first is add a K&N or AIR FORCE ONE intake system also add a Granitle Mass air sensor and with those Items you will see approx 22 to 28 rear wheel HP, with about 3 MPG difference in highway miles.Add a 3" direct replacement single exhaust ( Note one that slide's into your old hangers NO RATTLES and you now have about 40 extra HP and can Brag that your truck get's better millage than there 6 cylinder Mitch

its actually a 5.0L V8, im not sure why i put 4.0L, just wasnt thinking
well right now i have dual glass packs, do glass packs add any horse power?
and between the K&N and Air Force One air intakes, which 1 is better?
Thanks in advance
