Advice?

Hey guys, serious replys only please.

Okay.. so I have a 95 F150 FlareSide single cab with the 302 engine.

Just bought a cobra upper and lower intake, a 2nd stage comp cam and comp cam valve springs.

Here's the question:
Do I NEED to put NEW rocker arms, push rods, and hyd lifters?
OR
Will the engine run okay with only replacing the valve springs?

CAM SPECS: INT EXH
ADV DUR: 281284
DUR @ .050: 220224
Valve Lift:.512 .533

LOBE SEP: 112.0

Thank you in advance. Ive already spent ALOT of cash on upgrades and im looking for a short cut, thats why I want to know if the engine will run okay with only replacing the valve springs.

I personally would replace them. Size differances can cause major issues. Fatigue issues can also arise on the older parts, which coupled with the newer parts, well you know the saying, a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link. Also, why would you want to tear into an engine twice?

As far as "if you don't replace them, your engine will not run or it will blow up in a semi-nuclear explosion causing your neighbor's grandma to have a heart attack, the other neighbor's wife to go into premature labor, and the empty field across the street to be filled with bomb squad members in ten minutes", doubftul.

If you have the money, replace them. If you don't have the money, save up, get the parts then install everything. If you *need* to install what you have now, I'd be careful with the truck until you get the other stuff replaced.
