fuel saver chips?

Just wondering if you guys knew anything about those fuel saver chips for gasoline vehicles? I drive a v6 Ranger, 4.0L and i'm only getting about 16 mpg. I would expect to get better mileage but for some reason it's not getting any better. I've put in new spark plugs, spark plug wires, pvc valve, air filter, fuel filter, new tiresbecause they were practicallybald and anew muffler because the old one was rotted all the way throughand i'm only getting one or two mpg better than when i first got it. So i'm hoping with the use of a chip then i'll be able to get a little bit better mileage.

RE: fuel saver chips?

Hey i have looked into these chips and i have learned from other people and the internet that these chips actually hurt your gas milage more than help it and mostly cuzof a gas enginecomes from the factory basically at its top performance and all the chip will do is give you a little more power not so much fuel milage diesels are the one that gain from a chip but you can do other stuff to help get more miles like a cold air intake and a few other things that are realy not expensive at all
