1988 F350 HELP QUICK

When I turn the truck over, the starter stays engaged even when I remove the key from the ignition. Thank God the battery went dead or else it would still be trying to burn up my starter!!!! ANY HELP? Thanks

Pull the starter out and go have it tested at a local autoparts store.
If it is ok then you have and ignition problem.
