2000 7.3L HORSEPOWER increase?

Hey Guys! :) I've read a few threads on this issue before, but I just wanted to ask and clarify myself.

Basically, I have a 2000 F-350 7.3L, and it's just about to turn over 200k. I would like to increase the power of this motor. Now before you start screaming the words tuner, blower, bigger injectors at me, :D I want to ask the question, can this motor handle this at this stage in it's life? I've been driving it since the 147k mark, and have done maintenance on it regularly. But I can't speak for everything below that.

So far, the only thing that I have had done is remove the catalytic converter and muffler, straight 4" pipe all the way back. And removed the stock air box and put on a huge NAPA paper filter, to get air more freely. This really helped! I just wanted to ask the question, and see what I can get. Thanks in advance for all the help. I truly do appreciate it all.

PS: I also pull a 30' Travel Trailer, and I sometimes struggle with hills, no matter how many gears I go down or add fuel.

I'd say yes it can handle it. First thing I'd do is go with a intake system such as the Ford Heavy Duty system or something similar. All you're really doing with an open filter is dusting the heck out of your turbo and that obviously gets to your oil. To get power and keep milage, I'd do gauges(pyro and boost) then a nice programer. I am thinking of going with super chips or dptuner 6 position switch. Personally I am leaning towards the DP-Tuner because you can customize with the power as well as many other options.
