(2012 250) Upgrade to Nav sys/keep sync

Hi. I have a 2012 F250 SD Lariat FX4. I can't seem to find a definite answer on this one??? I want to upgrade the standard cd player to a Nav system, but want to keep my sync and steering controls. Appears there are a few aftermarket ones that might work, but no one has said that it works great? Am I forced to pay the rediculous factory price and have Ford install one?
Also I have the back up camera in the rear view and was wondering if I get either factory or aftermarket installed, if I could have both the rear view and Nav screens both come on when reversing? Thought it would be cool.
I'm leaning towards getting the factory Nav but wanted to see if anyone knows where to maybe get one cheaper or used?
Thanks All!

If it was me, I would keep it all Ford.
Just for resale value. Aftermarket stereos always makes me wonder what the installer hacked under the dash and what kind of nite mares will happen later

Factory

I totally agree, but the Dealership wants like 3 grand! And every dealership I talk to about it doesn't seemed to thrilled to want to do the work. I imagine that they hardly never install stereos. Oil changes, brakes, trannys, yes. I almost am more scared to have someone reading a book at a dealership jack my truck up. But, at least I would know that I can always take it back.

An alternative is to get one from an auto recyclers and do it yourself.

Ideally a Pick and Pull. This way you take it out of the wreck. (Learning how it comes out and how it is wired) Taking pictures with your phone.

Then learning from your mistakes at the auto wreckers. Doing a perfect job on your truck

Get one from junk yard. You might have to change the dash panel, but that's not a big deal. But the actual radio deck, if you get a Ford one of the same year, it should be plug.N.play.
