Diesel longer life expectancy?

I have stumbled a 2003 6.0L V8 Crew Cab F-250 4X4 for quite a good price. The only problem (or drawback) is that it has a little over 150,000 miles on it. From what I have seen, Diesels have the ability to run quite a while longer. I would be hoping to get another 100k out of it. I would not be towing large loads very frequently but I would be towing a boat every once in a while. For $5000, do you think that I could get 100k out of it?

thats like predicting what the stock market will be like in 5 years...

but it sounds cheap enough...just beware...ANY diesel repair is gonna be costly...a water pump can be 800 bucks
