Diesel Mileage question
 

Is there a site out there that actually has mileage information for Ford Diesel engines?

I'm interested in buying a 2001 F-350 with the 7.3L Power stroke.....(Automatic). I'd like to find efficiency info on that year and make of engine....as well as any other year I might take an interest in.

I'm actually getting ready to tow to a tag along camper from NC to Florida and was curious about the same question. I just bought a 2003 F350 with the 7.3 a couple of months back for this very purpose (towing our 8500-9000lb camper) and was curious what to expect. I went to www.dieselstop.com forums and from what I could gather, I expect to get from 10-12 mpg towing. I do know I get around 12 in the city. Not sure about the highway mileage (w/o towing), don't drive it enough to know. Mine's a single rear wheel, and I did get a Super Chip programmer for it, which is supposed to help with fuel economy and power for everyday driving and towing.
