Default F-250 Axles

I have a 1997 F-250 light duty with the seven lug rims on it, I really love this truck, it's been extremely reliable and runs strong , the only problem I have are the rims, they have rusted all to hell and I can't find a good set of new ones the cost is prohibitive, My question is this: Is it possible to swap in a set of eight lug HD axles, are the dimensions the same as what I have and how would I find out the dimensions.

I don't know about switching axles, but are the rims steel or aluminum? If they're steel and rusted, you could take them to a body shop and have them sand or soda blasted for very little money and then maybe take them to get powder coated or even just buy shaker can paint and do it yourself. If they're aluminum, you can take steel wool and knock down all the corrosion and then buy a shaker can of clear and re-clear them. All very inexpensive solutions.

I would try sand blasting the rims, and them repainting them.

the F-150 axles will fit in that truck, but I don't know about the 8 lug.
