New to the 7.3

Just bought a 99 F350 with the 7.3 in it. Any advice on do's and donts when it comes to mataince and performace upgrades? Owned and raced many Fords over the years but clueless when it comes to the Desiels !!!!

New Exhaust, cold air intake, and a performance chip or programmer. gauges to watch it work
