New Member F350 gas

Hello Everyone....On Saturday I purchased a 2013 F350 Gasser. I went all out on this Rig and now I'm having second thoughts. I love everything about the truck except for the ride. On the Highway it is a dream. Get on a back road and your fillings are in danger of jaring loose. As the truck breaks in will the suspension loosen up a bit? I have the camper package and that might have been my mistake. The 6.2L is very powerful and the mileage seems ok. Any thoughts on how I can smooth the ride? Will a leveling Kit help or make it worse? Thanks in advance!

This may hurt you fuel mileage, but experiment with tire pressures.

Pickup a 12 volt compressor and a good tire gauge.
Find that road that is a killer on your dental work :)
Then drop your pressures at 10 psi intervals

The PRO to doing this. More comfortable ride.
The CON to doing this. poor mpg. uneven tire wear. and you'll have to live with you tire pressure DIC indicator will stay on.

As your truck breaks in it will not get better, but on a positive note. You will learn to get use to it.
I have to ask.. Why did you buy a 1 ton gasser and not the Powerstroke?
And Do you need a 1 ton?

I purchased the Gasser because I will only being towing heavy maybe 4 or 5 times a year. The gas engine is more than capable. the extrta 6 or 7 k was just not worth it to me. If I was planning on keeping the truck until the tires fell then I might have considered it. I usually get a new vehicle every four years. Not to mention they are just so damn loud. Does the diesel ride different than the gas engine?

Purchasing the gasser makes cents when you put it that way. I think the diesels ride much nicer.. I guess it is because of the heavier engine.

If your only gonna tow 4 or 5 times a year I would also suggest putting some kind of a heavy load in the box. Maybe build a tool box and put some patio slabs on the bottom of the tool box.

i just bought my first f350 too. its a 2014.
stiff ride for sure! but its a 1 ton. :-)
i ordered some 20" wheels and tires yesterday. 35" trail grapplers.
i dont know how big of lift i need. but i will as soon as i get the tires mounted.
i will also have to figure out new tire pressures.
i look forward to many years of 1 ton fun!
i got a gas for the same reasons you did.
