Replacement for 1993 XLT

Hi, my dad is gonna buy a new truck for our farm. We currently have a worn out 1993 F250 XLT, and it's on its last breath...My dad does not know what kind of truck to get in order to replace the dying beast. He is looking at a Tundra cause my moms lexus has always been very reliable, but I am curious as to whether a foreign car can be "built for tough" so to speak. This truck will be used very heavily and it's by no means a transport vehicle. Its mostly used for heavy towing between our 2 properties, so any suggestions about what truck can fill the F250s schoes are appreciated.

thanks.

RE: Replacement for 1993 XLT

Is he looking for new or used? My friends landscaping company has 3 newer f250s. 2 with the 5.8 liter and 1 with the 6.0 power stroke. The power stroke is amazing, but all 3 trucks haul and get beat on all year long, and handle it well. They are from 1999 to 2003. I don't have any suggestions about the Tundra though.

I like toyotas, hondas and nissans as cars..... But if you want a heavy duty truck ,buy a ford diesel (I would get the 1ton diesel) If your f250 had the 7.3 in it you wouldn't be replacing it already.
