Light Towing - Possible?

Okay here's the deal. Starting a small home maintenance type business. So lawn management, window cleaning, etc. I have a small trailer. Probably >600 lbs in my opinion. All we will be towing on the regular is a lawn mower (push mower), weed wackier, one box of cleaning supplies and such, and a few ladders. I am looking for a cheap truck. Found someone with a 4x4 ford ranger xlt v6. Think this will do the trick? I see that the capacity for tiwing is 5,700 lbs or something but I would like an experienced answer with more logic. Let me know, thanks! And, would it make more sense to load the items into the bed?

No matter what you're doing, if you're going to tow/haul anything regularly that's heavy enough to deflect the rear end down considerably, then look at a full size truck for sure. They're designed with different things in mind, and you'll probably thank yourself later when you have the extra hauling/towing capacity that you need when your home business lifts off the ground.

A ranger will easily tow a 3000 pound trailer! I had a 1983 ranger with a
2.3 l 4 in it and towed a loaded double wide snowmobile trailer with no problems! The first year rangers were sprung a lot lighter than the newer trucks and the 4L had heaver springs than the small v6 or the I4!

I would likely go with the bigger truck too....Once you start towing stuff, mileage is going to be the same, whether a big truck or small. Also, if your business grows and you end up towing heavier loads, you will want the bigger truck
