01 Suburban 4x4 blowing fuses
 

2001 4x4 1500 Suburban, I purchased it 4 months ago, with no problems until now...Push button 4x4 blowing fuses in the fuse box in the cab... ATC fuse under hood is good, and never blows... transfer case is shifting fine when 4x4 fuse in cab is not blown.... fuse blows, lights on switch go out, and service 4x4 light comes on. Fuse may stay good for days at a time, or may blow in minutes.... please help!!! Thanks

sounds like the switch has an imtermentent internal short
