1962 GMC 379 V-6 upgrades??
 

is there any performance up grade's for a 60's GMC V-6 gas engine??</P>


is a 1962 379ci V-6 aka 6.2L V-6 depending on what year ,or where you look. all i can find is stuff for a V-8 diesel 6.2L 379ci.</P>


I need some stuff for a V-6 gas engine. no it's not a 4.3L and from what i hear the 6.2L-V6 and the 4.3L-V6 don't inter change part's...</P>

a good performance upgrade woul dbe to drop in a new chevy 350, maybe
an LS1 is possible. I doubt you will find anything for that large of a
V6. They just don't make like they used to I guess...

In its day it was a really good engine. No aftermarket parts are easy to find. I swapped mine out for a strokerd 350 (383).
