1986 C-10 voltage regulator
 

I have a 1986 Chevy C-10 with a 305. What is the location of the voltage regulator. I know it sounds silly but I have to ask.

I thought that would be the case. Thanks. I asked because I have gone through two alternators and I think the issue was the pigtail that plugs into the alternator is my issue. It looks like the dang thing has melted some. I've replaced the pigtail so time will tell now.
