I just bought a 2006 Z71 with the 5.3 and it has a locking rear diff. I has a 3:42 rear end, I couldn't find a truck with the 3:73 like I wanted, I will be towing with it on occasion, but not all the time, the bigest to be a 23' boat weighing around 7,000lbs + or - some. Am I going to notice a huge difference with this rear end, and if I do how much of a job is it to change it to a 3:73, less then a $1000 or a lot more? I do not want 4:10's, had a truck with them and didn't like it, and my father has them now. Any help would be great.
