4L60E question...
Okay so here is a question for you tranny gurus. My 4L60E in my 95 Z28 is shot and in need of an overhaul. I was planning on bumping the torque converter up a notch but I was told on Camaro Forums by a few people that the 4L60E kills tranny fluid and I would need to put a tranny cooler on it if I were to bump it up at all. So my question would be what do you guys think about that and does the 4L60E already come with a tranny cooler? My Camaro is parked in some dirt/mud so I can't jack it up to see and the guys at Camaro Forums areunfriendly. I didn't think it did but one guy made the comment that you shouldn't just replace the factory cooler with an after market cooler which is why I ask.
If it does have a factory cooler why couldn't I justreplaceit withONE really good cooler and call it a day? |

RE: 4L60E question...
I HAVE A 94 CHEVY 1500 REGULAR CAB SHORT WHEEL BASE WITH A 4L60E IN IT. MY TRANSMISSION HAS A 2500 STALL CONVERTER IN AND I AHVE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS.

RE: 4L60E question...
Is that what comes in it from the factory or is that a higher stall? Do you race it a lot? My Camaro would definitely be getting dogged out a lot.

RE: 4L60E question...
