Hi all, Just bought a 2002, 1500HD Crew with the 6.0 and auto transmission, (not the Allison), from the original owner. 70K and he never changed the trans fluid. I have a friend coming at10:00 CST tomorrow tohelp me change the fluid andfilter. I need to know the capacity, how many quarts? I have an owners manual and it does not give this info. Bought the filterfrom Napa and they couldn't tell me either. Sure need this if anyone can help. Hate tofill it and have guessed wrong. Nice forum here! Read a few items. Very good help. Quiet forum here. 24 hrs, no answers. Got the job done! For anyone interested, the answer is 5-1/2 qts.in the 4L80E transmission with the 2-1/4" deep pan.
