Chevy 3/4 ton full time four wheel drive
I have a 1976 Chevy 3/4 ton with full time four wheel drive. i was wondering if it has posi trac? If one tire goes in the air will the other side still spin? I'm hoping all four tires spin no matter what. Thanks

easy way to tell is jack rearend up and spin wheels if both tires spin same direction then chances are it a posi or locker and if they spin opposite ways then its usually its limited slip and if just one wheel spins its single traction. Thats how I have always checked which some one might have an easier way so correct me if Im wrong.

do i just spin by hand?

yep
Just put her in neutral and spin away! |
sorry
i guess i could have told you how to spin the wheels but did you get to try it yet?

Man if they do that thing will be horrible on the asphalt. Is this a daily driver? |
i'll be glad when i put a spool in mine i like to hear the tires chirp when you turn

yupp i spun them. it has limited slip.
|
limited slip aint bad atleast you aint got a single traction rear '' junk'' like i got thinking about welding up spider gears till i get the green to build me a bad boy front and rearend
|
yeah im happy with limited slip. Not like a 3/4 ton is gunna have a wheel in the air anyways. My truck is heavvyyy. ;)
