Diesel to gas conversion
Hi all, first post here.
I've got a 90 Suburban w/deisel and a/t, dual a/c, hydroboost. I would like to swap in a 350/383 manual tranny combo. My main concern is keeping the dual ac and hydroboost. I'm looking at a torque motor, with reliability as top priority. Chevy has a few crate morors I'm interested in. Fuel injection is prefered. We like the burb do due it's huge interior. In the research phase now. Any comments or advice? Thanks, MikeB |
RE: Diesel to gas conversion
i do not understand why you would want ot swap a 6.2 diesel to a gasser. you will get WAY better fuel milage with the 6.2 and with it being in a suburban, yuo can still get 15+mpg. for more infor on a swap and information, visit www.gm-diesel.com

RE: Diesel to gas conversion
The6.2 diesel is nice, but not NEARLY as nice as the 6.5's and 6.6's. Did Chevy offer the option of Dual A/C on gas motors??? If they did, you can get some parts off of a junker and convert it... Never heard of anyone doing this before, but I'm sure some one has.
