I own a 96 silverado 5.0 4x4 5 spd. when I'm going down the road and pull to a red light the truck will idle down but only to around 2k or so but after I come to the complete stop it'll go back to the normal Idle range. any Ideas what'd cause this and how can I fix it???

This is only my suggestion, you bring your car to the nearest automotive shop in your place so that they can check the main problem of your car. I hope it helps. I also read some automotive topics like autopartswarehouse blog to get some tips and idea about car repairs.
