Hissing souns from brake pedal area
I pulled an evasive braking manuever the other day and the next day I developed a hissing sound anytime the brake pedal is depressed. The sound will remain as long as the pedal is depressed. I'm looking at a booster failure right? The check valve wouldn't cause the hissing would it.
How ifficult is the booster replacement? Thanks gents. Jake |

i have no idea of your mechanical knowledge/tools,but its not that tuff....just tricky to get to the nuts under the dash.... what year truck is it? |
RE: Hissing souns from brake pedal area
Thanks Argon. I' referenced the Hanes and it looks fairly easy.
It's a 95 Z71, which brings me to my next question. How do I determine which brake system I have (JB-6 or JB-8)? Checkers only has a reanufactured JB-6 with no master cylinder. Thanks Jake |

you have an RPO tag...should be inside your glove box..it has production codes...
