I have a 1964 Chevy C10 with an 80' 350 engine. I had a new carburator put on and the truck will run for a bit and then dies. I try to turn it on and it won't unless i floor the gas petal and it turns on but once i let off the gas it trys to die. If i leave the truck alone for about an hour or so I can turn it back on with no problem. The truck did sit for a few months so i'm not sure if its the gas or not. Can anyone help me?

with an older vehicle i would first check that the choke is working properly. it sounds like when the vehicle warms up it has a hard time running but if you let it cool it runs good.
