Older Truck Electrical Problem, Im stumped.

Hello. I have a '85 GMC S15. My winter beater. Its in pretty decent shape but I don't mind spending a couple bucks here an there to improve on things, even if it is just my winter beater. I have come across an electrical problem today that is just down right pissing me off. My instrument panel lights and some of my interior lights are acting funny. My instument panel lights will not turn on, and only one side of my interior lights will come on. This has never happened to me before, and in pretty sure that I may have knocked something loose while working on it today.

Today I was doing a few things to my truck. I changed a few vacuum hoses, and changed the spark plugs. I believe my problem arose when I tried to change my license plate lights, not just the bulbs, the lights themselves. I cut the old wires that go to the old lights, and then i was going to solder on the new wires to the old ones. About half way though this, it was getting dark and i decided to move my truck into the garage and thats when i saw my problem.

I am 99% sure that it is not a fuse problem, as all my interiors would be out. Any ideas? Anyone have an idea wheere i might have knocked something loose that could cause this?

Well, I don't know if you still check here, but usually there will be a relay under the hood to send power to lights, and then fuses down the line further. With all your lights acting screwy like that, it makes me think one of your relays may be done.
