poor acceleration

i have 96 chevy 1500 w/ 305 engine automatic. i have a problem with poor acceleration when i start the truck it idles fine. when i start to drive it after awhile it feels like if the power is gone the rpms are low and the truck goes slow. i have to get it up to about 70 to make it go well but still i feel the lack of power. i have done a tune- up cap ,rotor ,wires and plugs. the only thing i did not do was gap the plugs, i assumed they where already. i have a new exhaust catylic converter and pipes. i did a new tranny with updates. i have a new fuel pump. i dont know what to do next, i think maybe the pcm or distributor. if any one has a idea send it my way please.

did you change tire size or check thermostat (it may not be hot but it could be warmer) also check drivetrain fluids.

You could put a low temp stat in ( 160 ) but check your spark plugs for gapping, and your probably right , time for new distributor. Hoped this helped. Any codes, ever? Hoped this helped
