Power window stuck
 

i have a 99 silverado new style and i just got a new window motor and plugged it in(did not install it) and it rolls down but not up. My current window is stuck in the down position which makes me think if it was up it would go down. My question is: Do the switches go bad??? i checked for blown fuses but is there another link???
