same tranns problem
 
well my check engine light came on and it was 1870 meaning trans slip.Im sorry to post again but i need help.How can a trans work 1 minute then change torque converter and trans slips.Can someone please help[:o]

AN 1870 IS A VERY GENERIC CODE...MEANING ITS NOT FOR ANYTHING SPECIFIC...

The pcm compares a a "front" speed sensor to the trannies rear speed....a slip speed over about 200 rpm will trip an 1870 ...(meaning the front is running faster than the rear).
In short,it could be anything between the tourqe converterand the tailshaft.


And people think we have it easy with scanners to read codes.....
