Vortec fuel injection ("the spider")

I have a '97 K1500, 5.7L vortec. I keep getting a misfire code and my truck is missing at idle. After that all is good. I've tried numerous things only to find that a couple of my plugs are being flooded with fuel. I've checked the TSB's and found that the CSPI hasn't been that great. Supposedly I can have the system purged and cleaned out...or spend upwards of $500+ just to replace the part. I have found a place that can clean and go thru it for pretty cheap. Any ideas on where I should go from here? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

if its flooding that baD,i imagine the fuel reg part of the spider is dumping the gas...is it rear plugs on the passenger side?

It's mainly throwing a cylinder 6 misfire. I have noticed #4 fouling too though. all the other plugs seem fine

I parked the truck and twice now after letting it sit for a few days I've fired it up. The stumbling seems a little worse and the passenger side exhaust is loaded with gasoline fumes... I'm assuming this could mean at least that one injector is dumping fuel like it still cost less than $4.

Well, tonight I swapped out my stock CSPI ("spider") for the updated MPI unit. It was pretty straight forward and the only pain was getting the manifold clear to lift off. The truck stumbled a bit leaving the driveway but cleared right up within a quarter mile... I went ahead and drove all of over the place and so far my issue appears resolved!!! Thanks for the advice, and I'll let you all know if anything happens!
