What's the difference between gm diagnostic scanner and autocom cdp?
I want to buy a car diagnostic tool so that I can rpair my car by myself . And I choose two tools one called gm diagnostic scanner
and another one is autocom cdp but I don't know which is the best for my car(Z71). And what' the difference between them? I think I came here right. |
A TechII can capture and read MUCH more detailed data than the generic brand. However that seems too cheap for a techII.
Edit: After further reading the "techII" is not a GM unit but an aftermarket knock off. Don't know if I'd trust either one personally. |
Do you have any other ideas? Help me please

What I have is an older Snap-On MT2500 scanner. Depending on what cartridges you get it wiil scan into the early 2000s. They can be bought on ebay/craigslist fairly affordably. Also depends on the amount of data your trying to use, do you want it as a code reader only or as a diagnostic tool?

Would not waste the money ..obd1 systems have very limited data you can retrieve.. to get codes jumper pins a&b at adl/scan port.
