2WD in the snow

For those of you who've ran a rwd in the slow, how scary is it? Is it worth considering an all wheel drive if the chance was given?

I know you can add extra weight in the bed to give your truck more traction.

Throw about 400lbs between your rear wheel well and your tailgate, I built a wood box for my older pickups.

You will get where you need to go, but you may have issues getting around in parking lots or hilly driveways. You just have to be very smart about it.

TBH, I've used 4wd on my truck once

Thanks buddy!

I hear people throw snow right into the bed. Does that effect a plastic bed liner?

DO NOT put snow in the back.

When it starts to warm up and then get cold at night, you'll end up with a frozen block of ice sliding around back there. My uncle smashed his back window that way.

If you have a water softener at home, pre-buy your salt and just keep it back there, then if you need it and you're stuck, you've got something to melt the snow
