95 F150 4x4 supercab w/ 62k, exc cond for $6900 or 99 Ram 2500 4x4 w/ 83k for $7k?
The F150 is a 5.8L, long bed, has a towing package, bed liner, tool box, power this and that, etc. A bit shiny and fancy for my tastes but....very low miles at 62k and in superb condition! Does $6900 sound like a decent deal?
My other option is a 1999 Dodge 2500 5.9L, auto, 4x4 standard cab, long bed with 83k miles. $7,000. It's a plain Jane all business ex-government work truck in great shape! It looks like it would be a lot better offroad truck, is a 3/4 ton vs 1/2 ton....and, to my eyeballs, it's more esthetically pleasing than the Ford. But, this Dodge has 20k more miles than the Ford and no extra cab space..... I'm the type to keep a vehicle for a long time...so want something that will last a long time. I will put, at most, 4k per year on this truck. Would love to get some opinions between these two trucks for my needs. Thanks. |
