Deciding Which Used Truck to Buy

Hey all, I'm looking at buying a truck in the next few days here and I've narrowed down to these 2 options:

2018 GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation

119,000 km (74k miles)

4.6L V6 Engine, double cab (not full crew cab)

2018 Ford F150 XLT

168,000 km (104k miles)

3.5L ecoboost, crew cab

I have both of these options at pretty much the exact same price. Condition of both trucks appear to be identical, other than mileage. I'm planning to get either option fully inspected before purchase.

Which truck seems to be the better deal? I'll be using it as just a daily driver 95% of the time, I might get a small camper trailer in the next year or two but otherwise I don't really have many plans for any towing - but I wouldn't mind having the ability to tow if needed.

The GMC seems like it might have better resale value in a couple years due to the significantly lower mileage and nicer trim package, but the V6 engine is kind of a turnoff. I think the Ford's engine is definitely a more attractive option for both me right now and the future buyer when I resell.

What do you guys think?

Both trucks have pros and cons, but if you're thinking about future towing or performance,Ford might be a better choice. With its 3.5L EcoBoost engine, this one offers more power and flexibility for towing or hauling, while the crew cab option gives you more room inside for passengers or gear that could be helpful.

Even with lower mileage, the GMC may feel underpowered with the 4.6L V6. Resale value could be a little better with the Ford.

Whichever you choose I would suggest getting a pre purchase inspection done as you never really know how the truck was treated by its looks.. I saved thousands when they discovered the transmission was on its last leg because of exceeding the towing capacity..
